England is home to a surprising variety of waterfalls, from dramatic falls in the upland landscapes of the north to smaller cascades tucked away among woodland, valleys and countryside. While some are well-known visitor attractions, many lesser-known waterfalls are hidden away from the usual tourist routes and can be easy to miss.
Some waterfalls are particularly seasonal, becoming much more impressive after periods of heavy rain, while others flow throughout the year.
There is always another waterfall to discover, whether you’re looking for a well-known attraction or a quieter fall hidden away in the countryside.
Explore the waterfalls I’ve visited and researched, with practical information to help you plan your own adventure.
