About The UK Waterfalls Guide
Hi, I’m Steph, the creator of The UK Waterfalls Guide.
I’ve always loved being around water and started regularly visiting waterfalls in 2023, quickly finding myself wanting to discover more and more of them. What started as a love of exploring beautiful places soon became a goal to visit as many waterfalls across the UK as possible.
There is something special about finding a waterfall for yourself. Whether it is a dramatic cascade surrounded by mountains or a hidden fall tucked away in woodland, every waterfall has something different to offer.
When planning my own waterfall adventures, I often found that the information I needed was spread across lots of different websites. I would have to search around to find details about the waterfall, how to get there, the walk, parking and other useful information. I wanted to create somewhere that brought all of that information together in one easy to use guide.
That is where the idea for The UK Waterfalls Guide came from.
The site is here to help you:
- Discover incredible waterfalls across the UK, with England and Wales currently being the focus as the guide grows
- Find hidden gems, iconic waterfalls and beautiful waterfall walks across the UK
- Get inspiration for your next adventure
- Plan your visit with practical information to make your trip easier
The guides are currently focusing on England and Wales, with Scotland and Northern Ireland planned to be added as the site grows. My aim is to gradually build a useful collection of waterfalls from across the whole of the UK.
I enjoy researching, visiting and bringing information together in a way that is clear, useful and easy to follow. I want The UK Waterfalls Guide to be somewhere you can come when you are looking for inspiration, planning a trip or simply discovering somewhere new to explore.
Each guide is written based on my own personal experience of the waterfall walk, including my own pictures taken on the day.
